Parenting Skills

PARENT EDUCATION and Support

From recent research in the area of attachment and contemporary psychoanalysis, I work with parents, helping them to handle their children’s emotions and behaviors sensitively and effectively. There is practical information shared and meaningful links are discovered as parents examine their own developmental experiences to better understand where they have difficulty parenting. Issues such as high sensitivity, social connectedness, and power struggles are addressed. Some groups are specialized addressing such topics as communication, sleep problems, or school-related concerns, while others are general parenting groups.

Couples, individuals, divorced couples refining their co-parenting strategies, blended families, and whole families together are just some of the people I meet with to address issues pertaining to parenting.

Examples of Previous Groups offered:

Flyer: Group for Parents of Sensitive Children
